Third Day In Capital Federal

Third Day

We woke up at quarter past seven, we had breakfast and we left to La Plata. After one hour we arrived, it is a beautiful city, full of squares and green areas.

La Plata
“La Plata” is the capital of Buenos Aires province, Argentina, it is also the capital of La Plata Township. It is 56 km at the south of Buenos Aires City.
It was founded by the governor Dardo Rocha the 19th November of 1882.
The city was planned to work as the capital of the province. Also it is the principal politic, administrative and educative centre of the province. Its population is more than 187.00 habitants.

Firstly, we went to Plaza Moreno where we admired the Metropolitan Cathedral of La Plata “Inmaculada Concepcion” that is the most important temple in the city.

Cathedral of La Plata “Inmaculada Concepción”

It was designed by the Departmen of Engineers of Buenos Aires, directed by ^Pedro Benoit and the architect Ernesto Meyer. It was inspired in the cathedral of Amiens (France) and Colonia (Germany). The style is neogótic. It is divided into five naves.
Then we got into the cathedral and we flipped the principal nave. We took lots of photos while the guide explains its history. After that we paid six pesos to meet the museum of the cathedral and go up to the top of the tower and see the entire city from there. We enjoyed it a lot.

After that we had lunch at a local restaurant, from there we went to the “Estadio Único” but we couldn’t go through it because there was a meeting inside. Later we went to the Natural Science Museum.

“Museo de Ciencias Naturales de La Plata”

It was founded in 1888; it has a neoclassical style and a Columbian ornamentation.
It figures as one of the 10 best museums of natural sciences in the world. With more than three million of objects in its collection: fossil mammals, reptiles, birds, etc.

In the return voyage, one of our partners lost his bag at the restaurant. He tried to recover it but he couldn’t. He was very sad.
He went to Abasto Shopping and we agreed to buy him a new t-shirt of Boca, that he had lost and was the most important. He was euphoric, he couldn’t believe it and thank us.
After the shopping we were taken to a television program called CQC, we saw it until twelve o’clock and we went back to the hotel, to sleep.
