Places Visited the First Day in Bs AS.

We arrived to Buenos Aires City around twelve o’clock, and we had lunch at a restaurant where we met our guide, Cristian. From there, we walked to "El Monumental", River Plate's football stadium.

After that, we come back to the bus and we traveled through the "Villa 31" until we arrived to La Boca's neighborhood. We saw the "Bombonera" Boca Juniors's stadium.


La Boca

La Boca is a neighborhood of Buenos Aires City, in Argentina. It is located in the south-east limit of the city. It has that name beacuse it’s in the mouth of the Riachuelo. All in all, the neigborhood is wll-known because it contains Boca Juniurs Football Stadium.

It is surrounded by the Stretts Regimiento de Patricios, Av. Martín García, Av. Paseo Colón, Brasil, Dársena Sur and Riachuelo river. It limits with the neighborhoods Barracas at the west, San Telmo at the north y Puerto Madero at the north-east, and the locations of Dock Sud and Avellaneda al sur.






We stopped at the Riachuelo river. There Cristian told us a story about women that went there to see the muscular river workers.


The Riachuelo

The Matanza-Riachuelo river, called Riachuelo in its mouth and Matanza river in the major part.
It origínate in Buenos Aires province, it is the south limit of Buenos Aires City and ends in the River Plate. In the basin, 2240km², live 3 500 000 persons.

It receives lots of industrial waste, especailly from the tanneries, which make it the third river most contaminated in the world. Recently, plenty of studies warned about the horrible efects of the contamination on the population, specially childhood.


Then we went to the hotel "Dazzler Tower", in San Telmo neighborhood, it was a big building with a beautifull hall. We went to our bedrooms, some of us had a shower and we ate at a restaurant by walk, due to it was near to the hote. We ate "milanesa" with potatoes, and we went back to the hotel and slept until the next day
